Unable To Download Game From Blizzard Servers

Hello, I have been going nuts over this issue. This is actually part of another problem I am having but I am convinced if I can solve this issue, my main issue will be resolved.

  1. Download Games For Windows 7

From the beginning:

I would like to play on Diablo 2 battle.net but was getting a 'not connected to internet' message from the game. (I know I am in IE forums, keep reading) At first I of course tried my router, windows firewall settings, norton's firewall. After disabling all protections I was still unable to connect.

Give it a try right from its game tab. Most Blizzard games are free to try! Stay up to date with the latest news. Download the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App. Blizzard Battle.net is an online gaming platform operated by Blizzard Entertainment. The service was previously known as Battle.net and enables online game-play for games including World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm.

I tried calling blizzard to see if my IP was banned, blocked, etc. with no prevail. They wanted me to connect tohttp://ftp.blizzard.com/ to download a file to reset the servers in my registery. But I was unable to do so. All I get was Internet Explorer can not display this webpage. I can connect to other FTP sites with no problem. I asked a friend on facebook if he could download this file and it came up no problem for him.

To make matters worse, I tried downloading this file on my kids computer with it connected to my router. No luck. HOWEVER, if I connect the cable modem straight to my kids computer. I am able to connect to the ftp site AND connect to Battle.net. So I said to myself, ok, I have a router issue, but then, I tried connecting the modem straight to my computer and rebooting my computer and modem. But STILL no luck, can not connect to Battle.net OR download the file. Must be something on my computer.

I uninstalled norton, used the norton removal tool to ensure clean uninstall. No luck.

I disabled windows firewall. No luck

I reformatted my computer and did a CLEAN install of vista home premium, installed chipset, video, ethernet drivers. Rebooted, and did not install any windows updates, BUT STILL unable to download this file or connect to Battle.net. I tried installing all windows updates and still no luck.

I am baffled on this issue, the only thing I can possibly think of is there is some type of hardware issue with my computer that this ftp site will not recongize my computer. I am able to ping the host, but unable to get a response back. When I click diagnose Connection Problem, it says to reset my local internet adapter to fix intermedit problems, I tried flushing my dns. IPv4 and IPv6 are both installed and appear to be working properly.

If anybody out there can lend a hand on this, I will be forever grateful.

Thank you.

Every single Blizzard game is currently unplayable, thanks to a server issue. Since the middle of Saturday night, Hearthstone, Overwatch, World Of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo III are all not working across every platform. PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players are all seeing error messages; Overwatch players either see error code “LC-202” on consoles or “BC-101” on PC, World Of Warcraft travelers get error 'blz900001' and Hearthstone players can't even log into the game.

Battle.net, Blizzard’s soon to be renamed client, is totally broken and won’t let you log into any game. If you do manage to get in, you’ll be placed in a queue that won’t actually get you anywhere. If you spend the hour or so on this virtual line, you’ll get kicked out instead of heading into the game. Know that this problem is entirely on Blizzard’s end and there’s nothing fans can do to fix it. Their servers have even been taken down so that nothing could screw them up permenantly.

Blizzard’s customer service twitter account said there was an issue “authenticating accounts” meaning players were unable to log into any of their games.

Due to an outage, game servers were taken offline to ensure the safety of the hardware. We are working to bring services back online.

We aren’t sure what’s caused the outage, but last time Blizzard’s servers went down for this long it was because of a severe DDOS attack that took them a full day to fix. I’m dying to play Hearthstone and Overwatch, so I hope that that doesn’t happen.
